"dEsum thiRalum thiruvumuruvamum

  valam purindha vAn sankam koNdAn pErOdha
  nalampurindhu sendRadaiyum nangu"

Geethacharyan-Sri Parthasarathi

valam purindha vAn sankam koNdAn  – one who holds the divine white conch with the curvature towards the right hand side;
pEr Odha – chant the divine name;
pEsil – (the effects) if we try to talk;
dEsum – the glow;
thiralum – the talent to win over all;
thiruvum – the wealth;
vuruvum – beautiful form;
mAsil kudi pirappum – birth in a faultless good clan/family;
maRRavaiyum – all other goodness;
nalam purindhu nangu sendRu adaiyum – everything will come by itself;

Introduction

To talk and enjoy the divine lord with such a celestial beauty don’t we need atleast some basic eligibility?   How do we attain the same? 'Once we start to chant his divine name all the required eligibilities come and stick on to us by themselves' answers pEyAzhvar.

Commentary

(valam purindha vAn sankam kondAn pEr Odha) chanting the divine name, extolling his divine qualities and actions of that supreme lord, one who holds the divine white conch, panchajanya with a beautiful curvature towards the right hand side,  that indicates that he is sarvalokachakravarthi (king of whole world) and also adding beauty to his dark coloured physique;

(pEr Odha) Not many names but just one of his names will do wonders;

(pEsil) It is inexhaustible to talk completely about the results obtained by chanting one of his names.   Still trying to name a few;

(dEsum) The special glow, received due to the praises received from all, the status in the society;

(thiRalum) the capacity to win over all;

(thiruvum) the wealth;

(vuruvum) attractive form, the charm and beauty that attracts all;

(mAsil kudi pirappum) being born in a good family makes people respect in society;

(maRRavaiyum) all that which is not mentioned above but adds greatness to a person;

(nalam purindha nangu sendRu adaiyum) All the above greatness reaches him wantingly without him making any efforts towards the same.

Good qualities are useful only for good people so all the greatness reach those who chant the divine name of divine lord to attain their purpose.

Interesting points from DivyArthdeepikai of kanchi swamy

Azhvar in this paasuram clarifies the fact that there is no basic eligibility to praise the Lord’s divinity.  Once a person gets interested in talking/chanting the divine names of the supreme Lord holding the divine conch, he automatically attains adequate qualification in all forms. He attains the radiance, respectable by all, the strength to win over enemies, required wealth, good looks that attract everyone’s mind and heart, birth in a decent family and anything good one may think of.
In the second line it is conveyed that even if born in a lower birth due to bhagavat bhakthi he gets detached from that ezukulam (lower birth) and joins thozhu kulam (bhagavatas) “pandai kulaththai tavirindhu” says periyazhvar.
