clouds;
nErE kadaindhAnai- one who headed and churned;
kAraNanai- one who is sarva jagat kAranan (ultimate creator);

nALum tuyar vuzhandhAr Aar- Can there be anyone who have
jeopardized themselves even a single day?
tunbu vuttrAr AndaiyAr – Where are those who have faced any (such)
distress?
Introduction
Talking in cohesion with the Lord’s nature there is nothing surprising
when we say that anyone who has reached Him will never suffer inspite of their
strong past actions (papas/sins).
Commentary
(kArE malindha karunkadalai nErE kadaindhAnai) the big ocean
surrounded by dark clouds. The clouds
encircle the vast ocean anticipating to absorb as much water as possible. That supreme Lord who churned that ocean all
by himself effortlessly;
Karunkadal refers to big ocean (“neelakkadal kadaindhAi” [thiru
10-10-7] otherwise due to the Lord’s divine glory the milky ocean reflects dark
colour.
The Devas (prayojanantharaparas) fell to emperuman’s divine feet
to achieve divine nectar (forgetting the Aara amudhu, emperuman). Even for their sake the Lord took all the
pains of churning the milky ocean. Is it
not clear from this episode that He is an absolute protector of His devotee’s
interests?
But for what reason does He
undergo all these hardships? That is due to the relationship we have with Him:-
(kAranaNai) He is the universal father, one who created each and
everything in this cosmos. Then how can
He see his children suffer?
But where do I reach Him?
Paramapadam, His divine abode is beyond our reach. Only to listen to His
devotees claims did He descend to the milky ocean.
(neeranai mEl paLLi adaindhAnai) To hear to all the claims of His
devotees in this samsara (leela vibhuthi) His Excellency left His divine abode
and has come down to thiruparkadal and reclined on top of the divine serpant
bed so that the splashing water doesnot disturb His thoughts (meditation) of
jagat rakshana (protecting the worlds)
(nALum adaindha) prostrate daily;
Those who go to the temple for a purpose cease to go once their job is
done but in the case of those who go to temple for the purpose of going only
for His darshan it is a daily act;
Else, nALum can be read combined with the first Line;
(adaindhu) thus reach that universal protector once;
(nALum AarE tuyar vuzhandhAr) who
will attain sorrow ever?
(AarE) “nAnE nAnAvidha naragam pugum pAvam seidhEn” [per.thiru.1-9-2]
Even for those who have done such great sins that cannot be
excused at all inspite of horrendous punishments will not need to undergo any
penalty;
(tunbuRRAr AndaiyAr) Can we find any one person who suffered after
reaching Him? Ravana, Hiranya, BasmAsura
all fell to the feet of brahma rudras and all of us are aware of their
fates. But can you name anyone or any
such episode where one who fell to emperuman’s divine feet encountered any
danger?
Saying that a bhagavat bhaktha experienced hardships due to result
of His past sins is akin to saying “wetting with fire” something absolutely
impossible.
Interesting points from
DivyArthdeepikai of kanchi swamy
(tuyaruzhandhAr tunbuRRAr AarE)
Here though ‘tuyar’ actually means sorrow/suffering by lakshana here it refers
to ‘sins’ (the basic reason for suffering).
Whatever sins they have done bhagavat bhakthas will not face the result.
At this point it is worthy to get to mind “mAyanai
