Introduction

Azhvar further in this paasuram continues to instruct to his mind, “Oh mind after realizing that His svaroopa and svabhavas are immeasurable whatelse can be done other than wishing to visualize Him by His grace.  He has to show Himself to us while we enjoy His Beautiful darshan.’

Commentary

(vadivAr mudikOtti)Bend the beauty filled crowns; Kottudhal- bend or prostrate;

(vAnavargaL) “yatra poorvE sAdhyA: sandhi dEvA:” (P.suk)[In that paramapada where the eternally dwelling devas are present] “yatra rushaya: prathamajA yE purANA:”[In that Paramapadam where the mukthas who have gone earlier and those nithyasooris who always remain there, enjoy the divine experience]
The nithyasooris and mukthAtmas who are referred to as the eternal devas in the above pramanas; or the brahma rudras who are generally referred to as devas living in this world (leela vibhuthi);

(nALum kadiyAr malar thoovi) Shower sweet fragrant flowers hapazartly due to immense devotion daily;
athyantha bhakthi yukthasya na sAstram nava cha krama:” [ For one who is filled with immense devotion there  is no rules or regulation]

(nALum kAnum padiyAnai) “tat vishnO: paramampadam sadApasyanthi sooraya{Vishnu sooktham}[nithyasooris visualize that supreme place of Lord Vishnu] As stated in the Vedas, one who has the divine form visualized ever; padi – divine form/vigraha; or otherwise the divine nature that is visualized ever; padi –svabhavam; nature.

The word nALum (daily) can be read along with nAlum thoovi or nAlum kAnum. If ‘vAnavargaL’ is considered to refer to devas (brahma rudras) then prostrating daily and doing poojas with flowers become the sadanas (means) to visualize the Lord once with great efforts.

“nErE kadikamalath thullirundhum kAngiLan kannan adikamalam thannai ayan” [Mudhal thiru 56] . Such is the state of the devas even while lying on the lotus sprouting from the divine naval of the Lord brahma still is unable to see the Lord.

With great efforts the brahma rudras rarely get to see the Lord once.  The nityasooris enjoy His darshan always but the brahmarudras have to put in enormous efforts to get the darshan once.  But oh mind you wish to see Him by His grace.

(semmaiyAL vul vurugi)  He is the owner and we are His property; the owner should strive hard to get hold of His property; so by realizing these facts remain with immense devotion and melting heart;

(sevvanE kAna virumbhu)  For those who have realized the above, He will show Himself. So without any self effort wish to see Him while He shows Himself to us;  Trying to see Him by our self effort is getting result in the hard way while Seeing Him while He shows us His darshan is the right way;

(meimayE kAna virumbhu) Not getting satisfied with seeing one of his characters wish to visualize him completely (paripoorna sAkshAtkAram). meimayE - Honesty is to wish for His darshan not for any other purpose but for the sake of enjoying His darshan alone.

(nenjamE) My heart! That which stands in front of me understanding well the sesha seshi bhava and that no one can see Him with their self efforts.

Thus, in this paasuram peyazhvar highlights the nature of a prapanna to give away self efforts and wish to get the darshan of the supreme Lord while the Lord Himself gives His darshan.
